What if I need a replacement certificate?
At Tri-State Training LLC, the certificate carries a $15.00 replacement fee. This fee is only applicable if the student misplaces their certificate and desires another one. If they reside out of the Martinsburg area and cannot pick up the certificate, the replacement fee is $20.00 which covers the replacement cost and shipping & handling.
What time do classes start?
Any Maryland specifc class starts at 8:00am. Maryland classes are either 8-hours or 16-hours long. In order to provide 8-hours of instruction on a Saturday and/or Sunday, these classes must start at 8:00am, no exception. Any other class, not Maryland specific, will start at 8:30am. Again, no exception.
What if I am late to the start of my class?
In an attempt to honor and value everyone’s time Tri-State Training, LLC has enacted the following late policy: if a student is 15 or more minutes late to class this will result in a $25 late fee before the student will be permitted to attend class. If the student does not pay the late fee or is more than 15 minutes late without contacting Tri-State Training, LLC they will not be permitted to attend the scheduled class, however they will be able to reschedule to a future class provided they pay the applicable late fee.
Where are the classes held?
Upon receipt of the required deposit or payment in full, a text message or email with class specific instrsuctions will be sent with all details.
Can I bring my own firearm to the class?
Some classes that are offered includes the use of our firearms; however, other classes require the student to provide their own gun. As a pro-2A, Veteran Owned business, firearms are permitted in the classroom but we DO NOT permit any ammunication to be brought into the classroom. Any student found to be in violation will be asked to remove the ammunition from the classroom before they will be permitted to continue with training.
What are the requirements to enroll in training?
We do not permit any child under the age of twelve to attend training, and any person under the age of eighteen must be accompanied by a parent to sign the appropriate waiver and prohibited person paperwork. In addition, the parent or guardian must accompany the minor during the duration of the training. There are NO EXCEPTIONS.
Are their local accomodations?
There are ample B&B’s in the area as well as the following hotels/motels: Comfort Inn, Super 8, Motel 6, Holiday Inn, and Hampton Inn. However, we are pleased to announce that we have secured a discount at the Quality Inn in Falling Waters. This hotel is located apporximately 7-8 minutes from our training facility. The address is 1220 T J Jackson Drive, Falling Waters, WV. Their phone number is 681.353.2115. The Tri-State Training, LLC negotiated price for a king or 2 queen room is $75.00 plus tax or a suite for $95.00 plus tax. The hotel offers a swimming pool (in season), as well as a continental breakfast. You must call the hotel and request the Tri-State Training, LLC discount and you CNNOT use a third party vendor for the discounted price.
