What if I need a replacement certificate?
At Tri-State Training LLC, replacement certificates carry a $20.00 fee for local pickup in the Martinsburg, Falling Waters area. If you live outside this area and require shipping, the fee is $25.00. This covers the covers
the certificate cost plus shipping and handling.
What time do classes start?
- Maryland & District of Columbia (DC) Specific Classes: Start promptly at 8:00AM. These courses require 8 or 16 hours of instruction, therefore these weekend classes must begin at 8:00AM without exception
- All Other Classes: Start at 8:30AM without exception
What if I am late to the start of my class?
In an effort to respect everyone’s time, Tri-State Training, LLC enforces a strict late policy:
- Up to 30 minutes Late: Arriving 30 minutes late results in a $25.00 late fee required before joining the class.
- More Than 30 Minutes Late: Students arriving more than 15 minutes late without prior notice will not be permitted to attend that scheduled session. However, you may reschedule for a future course upon payment of the applicable late fee.
Q: What is the payment policy for DC/MD classes?
A: Beginning January 1, 2027, registration for all DC/MD classes requires either a 50% deposit or full class fees to be paid in advance. Due to an increasing number of no-call, no-show participants, this policy has been implemented to ensure that committed students are not locked out of attending and that our resources and instructor time are fully respected.
Where are the classes held?
Upon receipt of the required deposit or payment in full, a text message or email with class-specific instructions will be sent with all details.
Can I bring my own firearm to the class?
Some classes that are offered include the use of our firearms; however, other classes require the student to provide their own gun. As a proud Veteran Owned business, we permit firearms in the classroom but we DO NOT permit any ammunition to be brought into the classroom. Any student found to be in violation will be asked to remove the ammunition from the classroom before they will be permitted to continue with training.
What are the requirements to enroll in training?
We do not permit any child under the age of twelve to attend training. Any person under the age of eighteen must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to sign the appropriate waiver and prohibited person paperwork. In addition, the parent or guardian must accompany the minor during the duration of the training. There are NO EXCEPTIONS.

Are there local accommodations?
There are ample B&B’s in the area as well as the following hotels/motels: Comfort Inn, Super 8, Motel 6, Holiday Inn, and Hampton Inn. However, we are pleased to announce that we have secured a discount at the Quality Inn in Falling Waters. This hotel is located approximately 7-8 minutes from our training facility. The address is 1220 T J Jackson Drive, Falling Waters, WV. Their phone number is 681.353.2115. The Tri-State Training, LLC negotiated price for a king or 2 queen room is $75.00 plus tax or a suite for $95.00 plus tax. The hotel offers a swimming pool (in season), as well as a continental breakfast. You must call or speak with the hotel staff directly to request the Tri-State Training, LLC discount. Third-party vendors bookings will not receive the discounted price.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes. Please reach out to the instructor using the contact us form to inquire.
Do you offer refunds?
We do not give refunds on deposits or full payments. However, your deposit or full payment guarantees you a seat in your chosen class or any future class if you cannot attend the originally selected class. Also, in an attempt to value everyone’s time, we have instituted a no-call, no-show fee. If you no-call, no-show, you will incur a $25 fee that must be paid before you can attend class or schedule another class date. This fee applies to any student who has paid a deposit or rendered full payment
